At Fletcher Fabrications, we manufacture and install aluminium and UPVC doors at our Aldershot workshop. Every door is fabricated to the exact dimensions of your opening, in the style and specification that suits your home, and installed by our own team. We have been doing this since 1985.
All our doors include
- Thermally broken profiles (aluminium) or multi-chamber profiles with steel reinforcement (UPVC)
- High-performance double glazing as standard, triple glazing available
- Multi-point locking meeting PAS 24 standard
- FENSA certified installation

Security
All our doors – in both aluminium and UPVC – are fitted with multi-point locking systems that engage at multiple points around the frame, providing significantly better security than a single-point lock.
Our doors meet or exceed the PAS 24 enhanced security standard. Secured by Design hardware is available on request.
Thermal performance
Our aluminium doors are fabricated with thermally broken profiles throughout, including at the threshold. UPVC doors use multi-chamber profiles with steel reinforcement. Both achieve overall door U-values well within current building regulation requirements.
High-performance double glazing with warm-edge spacer bars is standard on all our doors.

Aluminium or UPVC - which is right for your doors?
Both materials perform well and both will last for many years with very little maintenance. The main considerations are:
- Aluminium provides slimmer profiles, a wider colour range and greater rigidity – particularly valuable for large bi-fold and sliding door panels where frame stiffness matters.
- UPVC provides excellent thermal performance and outstanding value. It is a well-established choice for patio and French doors where cost and thermal efficiency are the priority.
- For bi-fold doors and large sliding systems in particular, aluminium is generally the better technical choice because of the dimensional stability it provides across large panel sizes.
- For standard patio doors and French doors, both materials work very well and the choice often comes down to personal preference and budget.
