Sliding doors offer something bi-fold systems cannot – a very large span of glass that opens without needing any clearance in front of or behind the door. The panels move behind each other on a precision track, leaving the floor space on both sides completely free.

For wide openings where a strong horizontal line of glass is the design intent, or where floor space is at a premium, sliding doors are often the more elegant solution. We fabricate sliding doors in both aluminium and UPVC at our Aldershot workshop.

Aluminium sliding doors

Aluminium sliding doors combine slim profiles with the rigidity needed to support large, heavy panels without deflection. Large individual panel sizes – significantly larger than are practical with bi-fold systems – are achievable in aluminium because the panel is supported by a running carriage rather than suspended from hinges.

Our aluminium sliding doors are fabricated with thermally broken profiles and high-performance glazing as standard. Available in any RAL or BS colour, including dual-colour finishes. The lift-and-slide variant, where the panel lifts slightly off its seal before sliding, provides an even higher level of weather performance and is popular on higher-specification residential projects.

UPVC sliding doors

Our UPVC sliding doors deliver good thermal performance and reliable operation in a cost-effective product. Steel-reinforced multi-chamber profiles and precision-engineered running gear provide smooth, consistent operation over the long term.

UPVC sliding doors are available in white, cream, grey, anthracite grey, black and a range of wood-effect foil finishes. A practical and popular choice where large glass spans are wanted at a competitive cost.

Configuration options

Two-panel – one fixed, one sliding. Suits openings from around 1800mm to 3600mm.
Three-panel – two panels slide past a fixed central panel, or all three panels move in one direction.
Four and six-panel – create a near-frameless wall of glass when fully open. Suited to larger spans.
Lift and slide – the panel lifts off its seal before sliding, providing higher weather performance for large, heavy panels.
Corner sliding – two panels meet at a corner with no structural post, for an open panoramic result.
